The TSHL Officers are elected during the Orientation Session in July of even-numbered years. As public representatives of older Texans, each officer is represented here along with a short biography allowing his or her constituents to become better acquainted with their spokesperson.
The executive committee is composed of the five elected officers, the chairpersons of the administrative and legislative committees, and a member from each AAA region that is not already represented in the committee.
There are two main types of committees: Administrative and Legislative Issues. Each branch is composed of five to nine committees, each with its own committee head. Each committee chair, vice-chair, and secretary is featured here with an email address for further contact.
Ad-Hoc Committes are appointed by the Speaker and approved by the Executive Committee. The current TSHL ad-hoc committees include: Strategic Planning, Training, Technology and Documents Review. Like regular committees, each ad-hoc committee chair and vice chair is included with a contact email.
